I'm tv/movie geek. My fandoms include but are not limited to:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Firefly/Serenity
Angel
Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog
Supernatural [newly acquired]
30 Rock
Glee
Dexter

When I describe something as a "favorite," I really mean it. I take a lot of time considering my feelings about the subject before I deem it a "favorite movie/book/show/artist/etc."

Some of my favorite books are:
Atlas Shrugged
Anthem
Slaughterhouse-Five
The English Patient
The Stranger
Girl, Interrupted
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
The Van Gogh Café (childhood memory book)

My current [major] pet-peeve is probably people who take pride in their lack of knowledge or interest in educating themselves. You "don't read?" Who the fuck says that? Wise up. You will have no value and make no contribution to the world if you remain content with having an empty, superficial lifestyle.

But I'm kind of a pretentious asshole, so people should take what I say with a grain of salt.

Some things to know about me:
+I have a tendency to over-share when it comes to certain topics like relationships and my flaws.
+I'm pretty sure that while my taste in movies is usually pretty good, I cannot say the same for my taste in music.
+I have a life-sized cardboard cutout of the character Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer in my bedroom. That is because at one point in my life, I loved him more than I think I will ever love any real person.
+I value grammar and eloquence to the point where if you were to speak to me with articulation, demonstration of knowledge, and clarity (but still without an air of pretension) I would likely fall madly in love with you.
+I like musicals but not the kind where the songs describe what's happening in a given scene or just sound like pointless dialogue.
+The greatest moment of my life was the song "Defying Gravity" when I saw Wicked in Chicago this summer.
+I'm a huge fan of steampunk fashion, especially in jewelry.
+My car used to be named Edward, but then Twilight came along and ruined everything. Now I call him Simon [after a character on Firefly].

And that's skimming the surface of me and my geekdom.
