I will take a moment to explain my tattoo. I grew up watching Star Trek with my family. I love how it's not just about war and battles. They also use diplomacy and their minds to problem solve. So when I thought about getting a tattoo I wanted something that I know I will love for the rest of my life. But, that's not the only reason I got it. I am somewhat of a pessimist. I look at our world and I fear for the future. My tattoo is a reminder that things can turn out good. What better future can I possibly imagine than one where all of humanity is united in peace for the common good of science and exploration, going to new worlds and making friends with different species? I can't think of a better future. My tattoo is a reminder to keep hope, and also a reminder that I should be working and doing my part to make our world a better place.
